How can you help the library
Become an Associate! To meet the challenge of providing the highest possible standard of service, The Desmond-Fish Library created the Associates Program to assist with the program development and the continuing need to maintain and upgrade the facility and the beautiful grounds that surround it.
Associates make annual individual membership contributions of $500 or more and sponsor an annual gala fundraising dinner. This year's Associate's Dinner will be held on Sunday, June 7 at Monte Verde at Oldstone Manor in Cortlandt. More Information
Become a Friend of the Library. Funds raised through membership provide books and computers for the Library, special Library projects, Children's Summer Reading programs and free lectures and presentations.
Shop for a Cause Do any shopping online? Facebook Causes will donate a percentage of your purchase to the Library. A very painless way to help the Library.

Pick out an item to purchase for the Desmond Fish Library from their Wish List. Certain bestsellers have numerous people waiting for them and we would appreciate extra copies of items with 100 or more holds to help us fill those requests. Click to see a list of the in demand books and the in demand DVDs.
Donate used books, audiobooks, DVDs and other media! We need your donations to add to our collection or to help us raise money at our Annual Book and Media Sale. Donations can be accepted during normal library hours. Please refrain from donating books that are mildewed or stained. We do no accept magazines, old encyclopedias, textbooks or Reader's Digest Condensed Books.
Donations can be brought through the side door and left next to the stair railing in front of the bathrooms. Do not leave books outside the building and please do not make your boxes too heavy for our volunteers to lift . If you would like to become a Volunteer to help us sort and price the items, please see the Friends of the Library page.
Memorial donations or donations for any occasion are always gratefully accepted.
