The Desmond-Fish Library serves the Hudson Highlands area with more than 27,000 books and an extensive electronic media collection. The Library is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:00-5:00, Tuesday, Thursday 2:00-9:00, Saturday 10:00-4 p.m.,& Sunday 1-5 p.m. The library is located at the intersection of Routes 9D and 403 in Garrison, New York. The library has a large collection of books and slides on the Hudson River School of paintings; some of these can be viewed here via an Index; a sub-set of these can be viewed as a slide-show. You may search the Hudson River Reference Collection for a particular artist or painting.

Patrons who visit the Library may use one of the Library's seven public access computers (Two Linux and six PCs) to do word processing, log onto email or the World Wide Web. In order to insure an available computer, it is best to call ahead and reserve one. Patrons may also use the computers in the Library to access our online databases free of charge.
